Spring Summer’ 15 available online now!
Spring Summer 2015 takes us to Marrakech. The inspiration behind this seasons colour palette and embroidery patterns are true to the rich and alluring architecture, tile patterns, famous majorette garden and the colourful chaos within the souks. The outcome is a stylish set of flats that will transport you in comfort and edge no matter where you are in the world.
The recurring theme of contrasting colors black, white, silver and gold are inspired by the bold tiles and finishes seen throughout hotels and restaurants in Marrakech.
Our collection is true to Mara & Mine’s sleek, modern design and silhouettes with the addition of intricate embroidery and rich colours in luxurious fabrics. A new addition to the collection is a vegan shoe made with mesh material and a rubber sole.
A huge thank you to model and actress Jodie Smith who made our day so easy. We had so much fun playing around with the very messy and colourful powder and smoke bombs. Here are a few behind the scenes photos.
Fashion month is in full swing and the style set and tastemakers are in Paris as we speak. Riccardo Tisci drew a star studded front row crowd for Givenchy. Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel created a beautiful brasserie scene with delicious Parisian breakfast treats on display and our favourite so far is Valentino who sent Derek Zoolander and Hansel aka Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson down the run way.
Australian fashion model and one of Mara & Mine’s Muse’s, Cat McNeil, was photographed in the charming streets of Paris between shows dressed in black and accessorising with Mara & Mine’s Montana Skull Hand clutch.
Style Icon, Kate Moss, Is our ultimate girl crush and true inspiration. She has a carefree sense of style about her and nails every fashion moment. As a teenager she would search Portobello markets in London putting vintage looks together and creating her own unique style. As she once said: ” I don’t follow trends. I just have a thrown together look people can relate to, not too ‘done.’ ”
